Tanzania is a wildlife wonderland. Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Conservation Area sit in Tanzania’s Northern Safari Circuit and can be visited year-round.
Tanzania is a wildlife wonderland. Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Conservation Area sit in Tanzania’s Northern Safari Circuit and can be visited year-round.
However, June and July are the best months for witnessing the Great Wildebeest Migration in the Serengeti while calving occurs late January to February.
Tarangire National Park, a quiet park in the north, is best enjoyed during the dry months (June to October), along with parks in the Southern and Western Safari Circuits. During this time, the bush is less dense and waterholes are busier.
The wet season has its appeal as well. From November to May the parks are greener and less tourist can be seen. Some parks, however, close for the period.
