TINTSWALO AT LAPALALA IS A LUXURIOUS, FAMILY-FRIENDLY CAMP OVERLOOKING ROLLING MOUNTAINS AND PLAINS IN THE MALARIA-FREE WATERBERG REGION OF SOUTH AFRICA’S LIMPOPO PROVINCE. THE LAPALALA WILDERNESS RESERVE FORMS PART OF THE UNESCO-DECLARED WATERBERG BIOSPHERE RESERVE AND EXISTS IN ONE OF AFRICA’S MOST DIVERSE ECOLOGICAL SETTINGS.

This untouched bushveld paradise is home to a plethora of wild game. In keeping with the Tintswalo tradition of naming accommodation after a theme, the individually decorated suites have been named after Africa’s iconic tribes and feature indulgent private plunge pools. The lodge continues its legacy of preservation by being environmentally conscious and completely off the grid. Since there is only one other lodge on the reserve, Tintswalo guests are welcomed to take part in activities of the Lapalala Wilderness by visiting the breeding projects and nearby Rhino Museum, getting involved in the school programme, opting for a sleep-out experience in a remote part of the reserve, or simply enjoying peaceful hours of fishing. Other relaxing pursuits include spa treatments, sundowner cruises, riverside picnics, bird watching and star-gazing.
