BELMOND SAVUTE ELEPHANT LODGE
BELMOND SAVUTE
ELEPHANT LODGE
Chobe – Botswana
THE MAGNIFICENT BELMOND SAVUTE ELEPHANT LODGE IS A STATE-OF-THE-ART ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY TENTED OASIS IN THE UNTAMED WILDERNESS OF THE SAVUTE CHANNEL. IT IS SITUATED IN THE SOUTHWEST OF CHOBE NATIONAL PARK, RENOWNED FOR HERDS OF ELEPHANTS THAT ROAM ITS PLAINS.
The spacious and luxuriously decorated rooms are positioned on raised wooden platforms with expansive private decks, ensuring spectacular wildlife viewing with a waterhole just metres away from the lodge. A traditional boma fire-pit invites guests to unwind in the evening underneath the mesmerising stars of the expansive African night sky. In addition to Savute’s elephants, game viewing concentrates on antelope and a lion pride living around the waterholes. Kudus, impalas, ostriches, jackals and foxes are a few of the animals that abound in this area. For a perspective into the ancient culture of the region, rock paintings illustrating the San people’s rich history can be explored.
