LITTLE GOVERNORS’ IL CAMP
LITTLE GOVERNORS’
IL CAMP
Masai Mara – Kenya
Positioned in a riverine forest on the edge of the Masai Mara National Reserve, accessed via a boat ride across the Mara River, Little Governors’ IL Camp is quiet and undisturbed. This Camp is ideally placed at the heart of the Great Wildebeest Migration, as one and a half million wildebeest, accompanied by vast numbers of zebra and gazelles, make the long trek northwards to this corner of Kenya.
The luxury tents, havens of privacy and elegance, feature wooden decks with spacious verandas that are tucked around a large watering hole that teems with birds and wildlife. Since the property is unfenced, a variety of animals, especially elephants are frequent visitors. Breakfast and lunch are served al fresco immersed in the sights, sounds and smells of Nature while a candle-lit dinner can be savoured indoors in the stylish dining tent.
Ever aware of its environmental footprint, the camp operates on 100% solar power and employs a number of sustainable practices that have earned it ‘A Gold Eco’ rating. Custom designed vehicles and exceptionally experienced guides provide unmatched game viewing. On offer are Hot Air Balloon Safaris over the river, plains and forests of the Masai Mara with the launch pad on site.
