NDALI LODGE
NDALI LODGE
Kibale Forest National Park – Uganda
NDALI LODGE IS AN ENGLISH COUNTRY HOUSE SET ON THE RIM OF AN EXTINCT VOLCANO, WHICH IS NOW FILLED WITH CRYSTAL CLEAR WATER TO BECOME THE BREATHTAKING LAKE NYINAMBUGA, IN THE KIBALE FOREST NATIONAL PARK. BUILT OF THATCH AND LOCAL STONE, THE LUXURY BANDAS HAVE A VIEW OF THE DRAMATIC SNOW-CAPPED PEAKS OF THE RWENZORI MOUNTAINS.
The cottages are built of local stone and thatch and the eco-friendly lodge has no electricity or generators; preserving the tranquillity and serene atmosphere of this charming property. Adorned with candles at night, the dining room provides the perfect ambiance for delectable dinners prepared by expert chefs making creative use of produce grown on the lodge’s privately-owned fertile farmland. The lodge is a perfect location from where to track the chimpanzees of Kibale Forest that is renowned for hosting the largest concentration of chimps on the continent as well as a plethora of other primates, birds and butterflies. Other activities on offer include walks to the local waterfall, swimming and boating or kayaking on Lake Nyinambuga, bird-watching and day trips to the tea plantation. An early morning dip in the crater lake is an energizing start to the day for the more adventurous.
