KING’S POOL CAMP
KING’S POOL CAMP
Chobe Region – Botswana
King’s Pool Camp is an outstanding super luxury camp perfectly positioned overlooking the lagoon of the same name in the Linyanti Wildlife Reserve, bordering the Chobe National Park. The region is renowned for its open grasslands, a riverine forest, mixed woodlands, the dry Savuti Channel and being the habitat to one of the highest predator concentrations anywhere.
This premier camp is grand and opulent with a minimalist design and the lightest footprint since it’s completely solar powered. Each huge canvas tent with thatched roof opens onto a large raised wooden platform, commanding a view of the lagoon and comes complete with a private plunge pool, sala and sun loungers. The main areas include a lounge, bar, dining area and viewing deck with a built-in pool. At night the open-air boma is perfect for al fresco dining under the stars. The lodge’s sunken hide offers a unique perspective to view wildlife quenching their thirst in the hot afternoon. Adventures include game drives, guided walks, and boating safaris along the Linyanti River. The reed and papyrus swamps attract a large variety of species of birds. Sundowner cruises along the Linyanti River can be arranged as well as star gazing with experienced guides in an open 4×4 safari vehicle. Located in Botswana’s “elephant corridor”, King’s Pool is at the centre of elephant conservation initiatives.
