Vakona Forest Lodge sits near the picturesque, wildlife-filled Andasibe-Mantadia National Park, one of the best places to see lemurs in their natural habitat. This includes the endangered indri, or babakoto, one of the largest living lemurs. Over 100 bird species also thrive amongst diverse flora.
The 28 Malagasy Bungalows are distributed throughout a tropical garden while the verandah at the main lodge overlooks the forest and lake. Activities on offer include horse riding, canoeing, swimming and bowls.
