The Outpost is situated on a hill overlooking the Luvuvhu River Valley, in the most remote northern part of the Kruger National Park, the Makuleke region. It enjoys a unique location bordered north by the Limpopo River and Zimbabwe and east by Crooks Corner and Mozambique.

The elevated expansive view of the valley is one of the most scenically beautiful, untouched and diverse wilderness areas in the Kruger National Park with fever tree forests, acacia thickets, and some of the largest and oldest baobab specimens. Game drives are thrilling since the area is home to herds of elephant and buffalo, resident prides of lion, the recently reintroduced rhinoceros and the elusive leopard. The units are designed to allow a seamless flow between the interior and the African bush. The rooms are stylishly decorated and the open plan and luxurious amenities allow for ultimate comfort and relaxation. Pel’s Post, comprising 4 unique stand-alone, open plan suites, offers an exclusive and private ‘off-the-grid’ African safari for family and small groups. Ecologically respectful, the Outpost is ideal for viewing the constantly shifting nature show in one of the few true wilderness areas left in South Africa.
